Brainstorm: a list of rules of etiquette, any infringement of which results in being permanently banned from the internet plus higher tax rates on income as well as gifts & charity

(by the way one of the rules is to compliment someone when they make a good brainstorm)

Emotionally and Financially Dependent on the Parents

Frankly I am starting to wonder about those who are here and are dependent emotionally and financially on their parents.

The responsible dyad is the parent and child, but we are only getting one half of the dyad, the irresponsible half.

    So what to do?

We could divide Central in half with one half for those emotionally and financially dependent on their parents, and the other half those who take responsibility for themselves.

Or perhaps we could invite the whole dyad to join Central. In other words, if you are emotionally and financially dependent on your parents, you invite your parents to join Central along with yourself.

Or perhaps we could appoint a housemother and a housefather to take care of those who are emotionally and financially dependent on their parents.

    What will we will decide?

I think most of us here need a caretaker, financially independent or not.

That sentence by itself would have been such an amazing post.

I too am starting to wonder about them...

(by the way that was a good brainstorm)

Freud probably has things to say about that.

Smile Equal and Reciprocal or Dependent and Unequal

The parent and child relationship is neither reciprocal nor equal, while the relationship between grownups is both reciprocal and equal.

So a child needs a caretaker but is unable to reciprocate and take care of the adult; while grownups can take turns being the caretaker of each other.

So the problem we have here is that some of us can engage in equal and reciprocal relationships and some need their Mom and Dad.
