Sure, and its when we get to satisfy our childhood desires in a safe and friendly way. And its when we are free of societies expectations.

Some cultures leave it to the second childhood to leave family and friends to satisfy our childhood desire for God by becoming a nun or a monk.

We can enter the depth of our spirituality without stepping on anyone's toes.

Our second childhood is a moment of efflorescent creativity and disinterested love.

Who wants to be a child again? We all do, yay!

so basically the second childhood is when you're able to step back and say "I'm well off, I can do whatever the fuck I want" then you proceed to reflect for a while and begin to remember your repressed and forgotten passions? if so, this is what I mean about being old being easier (if you play your cards right when you're younger). I have so much that I want to do but no recources to do it.

It means not having to play cards anymore.

That's the advantage of metaphor - metaphor is open to interpretation.

For instance, if we take the Koran literally, it is not open to interpretation, but if we take the Koran metaphorically, we can let a hundred flowers bloom.

    Fixed.

Research has shown that 9 out of 10 people prefer being young to being old.

Sigh. True independence doesn't really exist anyway. In any case, good luck with your journey for the Holy Grail, Elfboy.

The worst mistake people make in political arguments is assuming that the other side is not trying to do the right thing. This simple oversight makes productive conversation nearly impossible.

I love that I'm young, but I hate that I don't feel young.
