I think a variation on ebola that takes a month (instead of a few days) to run its course would be more suitable, but we probably don't have time to hack together the genetic code and create samples.

I don't understand. Why would people do this, particularly a moderator from another forum? PerC has a massive membership list and is very active. So why pick on smaller sites?

I think FineLine had the "Promethea" thing wrong.
The original hacker group seemingly had nothing to do with PersCafe.

I haven't bothered to read through this thread, but I will say that for someone to hack a forum has WAAAAAAAAAY too much time on their hands. If only they'd put the intelligence to something productive and useful to the world.

Yes, it was his masterplan all along.

Well, I admit I’m assuming a lot. And you know more about the comings and goings in the background.

But the hacking here was almost an exact duplication of what happened at INFP-gc. Promethea and a couple friends showed up at INFP-gc and engaged in endless arguing and wrangling that pulled in the mods. Then the mods and other people started getting banned. Then Mongler showed up right at the end to claim credit for the hack and for closing the board outright. Then Promethea and Mongler made the rounds of the personality-based message boards patting each other on the back for what happened. Promethea was coy about her role over at INFP-gc, but I was on the message board at the time and she pretty well trashed the place for the last couple days before Mongler suddenly appeared.

So when InvisibleJim made references to Mongler and “Promcakes” being in the group of troublemakers here at TypoC, I kind of assumed...

    No promethea didn't.

I heard it was Limit, who framed a hacking group famous for using a certain trojan (easy target). Then this negromancer tries to take credit later, with TruthJourdemayne and meek as his groupies (because they hate Limit, not realising just how deep his evil truly runs and thus falling for his plans).

Don't say you weren't warned. The enemy is in your midst. Limit is so Machiavellian with his evil, this entire post is probably a result of his manipulations, even this sentence!

But go on, believe his forum was "hacked" too.

    Sheep.
