the types without a decent keyboard..those people just give up after the first one. it's really no fun texting with them.

    My family likes my tests.

For example, someone sends me a large text with three questions, my answer would be for example "yes, yes and no".

Someone wants me to confirm something through text. I'd send "k".

Basicly, my texts rarily comprise out of sentences at all.

If someone sends me a text that need a descriptive answer, I dont text back but call back.

Am I a good texter? I believe so! I am extremely effective and quick with them! The question is, do you as well? :P

Second of all. I hate the misspellings in general. I have a friend who texts me and literally spells every single word wrong via text, to the point where I have questioned his ability to spell or whether he has a learning disability or something.
Unfortunately the gentleman who texts me that is in his 50's and was previously a biochemist, now administrator so you'd think he knows better. *shrugs*

I have to speak in my own defense here. My friends say that they are fascinated with the speed, spelling, and depth of my text messages, only using 9 keys.

    This is me too!

When I'm sharing/receiving bits of info, I like texting.
When I really don't want to talk to someone, I like texting.
    Both will be short though.
Anything else I prefer talking on the phone.

I'm wondering when I'll actually finally enter the world of texting.

I think I'm currently the only person I know who doesn't have texting functionality turned on on my phone. So I have the marvelous life of not having to bother with any of it.

As for txtspk abusers, the worst offender I know is my ESFJ pal. She's got the gift of the gab and is well-spoken but... the woman texts like a preteen girl. *facepalm*

p.s. If it was up to me, we'd all text. Don't call and put me through the rigmarole of small talk just to ask me something that can be sorted out in a single SMS exchange.
