Now now, that has more to say about the previous generation(s) than it does this generation.

Who is the one making us sacrifice by cutting everything from education to workforce?
Something that these previous generation so enjoyed.
They payed nearly zip out of their pockets for their own education.
Let's not forget the fact that they didn't worry about having to tag on a job or two just for their education.
Let's not forget the fact that because of all these people losing their jobs. All of them, all of them are invading the campuses so they can get another degree while people like me are still rushing through their first.
Because they chose to mess up the economy for their own greediness, we are in this mess of "self sacrifice."
Because of this, I am forced to compete for an ever crumbling class offerings.

Which generation is currently the most unemployed? You guessed it. While people are exclaiming self-sacrifice. There are more people age 18-30 that are unemployed than there are people that are older that are unemployed. Some can't even get jobs in their respective fields.

Which generation(s) were the ones who left this "mess" to implode before they finally called it a crisis. A crisis where they pushed everything onto us. They chose to wait until this moment to push their ill-comings onto us.

Did I forget that more people are willing to go to organizations like Peace Corps in this generation?

What is hilarious to me is that some Victorian parents and more conservative members of The Lost Generation said that in the 1920s. Even after some of those dudes fought in WWI (not unlike how older members of Gen Y have been to Iraq and Afghanistan and are coming home to inadequate compensation and healthcare).

The narcissism thing may be true, but only because of American cultural social trends, which affect other generations besides Y...Boomers and X play a part in that, too.

So many Baby Boomers didn't even raise their own kids, they left us with our grandparents and other relatives, et al.
    I'm not either.

I'm adding entitlement to the list of of overrated Generation Y values. entitlement is an absolutely ridiculous and childish life philosophy
PS: that being said, the Baby Boomers are as much if not more adamant about entitlement than we are

Maybe we should all pitch in and donate money to Elfboy so that he can buy his own chunk of land to get away from it all

Honestly, Have you ever considered that your view of the world is wrong?. We get it, you're an Ayn Rander... why make a thread about it, and at that generalise to such an extreme. You blame Gen Y for an apparent conformity, yet you have 1. conformed to Ayn Rand's shit of a philosophical called Objectivism, (and Rand was a disgusting fuck of a human being-- may I suggest you read about her love for the murder William Edward Hickman) and secondly, you expect others to conform to your so-called grievances about Gen Y'ers... Come the fuck on dude, Stop being an immature child.

rrright, like socialists have anywhere near enough power to be of any consequence. the average income of a capitalist is more than twice that of a socialist. we can pay off many more politicians, lawyers and legislature than you all can at the end of the day, it's a rare individual that can make an actual difference in the world without a fair amount of money
