Some people like to decorate their rooms with art. Pictures of friends may be sentimental but not necessarily art.

No it doesn't make you a bad person.

My parents keep family pictures around the house... Living room etc. I don't display pictures of people in my room though. All I have are prints of birdies... I dunno I just find it weird to have them on display. No, I don't think it makes you cold.

I would be impressed if someone had stone busts of their loved ones around their apartment/house.

    Some are cool.

And these 'professional' contrived pictures also tend to have staying power. Instead of appreciating the present, they seem hooked on a distant past, a harkening back to the era when some finished high school or did something swell enough for a contrived photo shoot. The stale factor alone creeps me out.

I have a couple pics kickin around of me and my ex. Kinda forgot they were even there till I started packing a couple weeks ago.. Only have those because she gave them to me framed. Other then that I've never had a picture of me or anyone else hanging up or on tables etc.

Actually I don't have any pictures at all hanging up really.. The only thing I've gone out of my way to hang on the wall was a 4'x8' white board that I use for working things out on.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.
