    Assuming that the world will be essentially exactly the way it is now, only with almost no one there - i.e. assuming no monsters, cannibals, zombies, etc - I would want to go somewhere close that's still temperate, and that wouldn't be far enough away that I would need a plane (because if there's almost no one left in the world, it's safe to assume that there would be no pilots).

    So... probably somewhere in northern California. Or maybe Seattle. It may be rainy, but it's right by the ocean and it's fairly comfortable

    I will be meeting with my family if the world ends, not the forum.

    But hey, if anyone wants to tag along, my trek starts in Seattle and ends in Tennessee.

    New Zealand since zombies can't swim! Moderate temperatures with mountains so there will be spring melt for water. There's enough rainfall to keep it green but their climate is dominated by sunny days. They also have forests and white sandy beaches.

    Let's all go to Australia!

    Or Amsterdam, if you all insist.
    I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

    water= flooding danger though.

    I say Switzerland. It's naturally protected by a mountain chain, has plenty of lush grass and water supplies and is *always* neutral

    I think holland would be an excellent choice. There's more then enough fresh water. The land is vertile, We can use the rivers for transportation. The qualitty and abundance of roads is briliant so whatever remains of them should still be useable and since it's densly populated leftover resources shouldn't be too far off so there's no need for 'book of eli' like traveling stories. The only thing that could be a problem would be flooding if we don't maintain the dykes, but that can be easily solved by living more to the east of the country in the part that lies above sea level.
