Really? I never would have guessed that with your avatar and username

Indeed it was quite surprising to find out that you're actually a skinny white girl.

I thought you were a female until very recently, so I guess we're even.

Thought Curator was a woman, but after seeing a photo in the photo thread, turns out curator is a man.

To be fair, I've wrongly guessed gender on several forum members. I think subconsciously I guess gender based on username, choice of avatar, signature, or even MBTI type. I'm not trying to be sexist, but I initially picture T types as males and F types as females unless there is some other clue to suggest not.

Males on this forum who I've mistaken for females:
    Savage Idealist - ENFP
    Athenian200 -INFJ

Females on this forum who I've mistaken for males:
    Whatever - ESTP
    Orangey - ISTP
    YWIR -xNTJ (?)
    Randominity - ISTP
    Types added.

Interesting, isn't it, what we read as a gender cue?

    But you need some controls.
For example, what did you read Metaphor as before she changed her name?

And why do certain people in gender-stereotyped archetypes read as their actual gender?
(For example, Peguy scan as male despite identifying him as INFJ. Why? Is it because his Ni+Ti are his stronger functions?)

Well Curator does identify with being a women in the same way that I think Athenian200 does.

But that would ruin the fun surprise of discovering someones' true gender after you thought they were the opposite.

I was actually mistaken for male more than once in INTJforum chat, which was kind of awesome, since someone told me to take it as a compliment.

On here, though, I think I've made it more than clear that I'm female, probably to the point of annoying some members.
