Default If you knew you were going to hell

If you knew that hell was where you were going because let's say you sold your soul to the devil. Or just knew that hell was where you were going would you be more incline to do something really evil then if you still had a chance at going not to hell?
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

No, because doing something really evil would make me feel bad *now*, and thus would spoil those (hopefully many) Hell-free years I still have to enjoy.

I would probably live like a saint until I died so that I would have something nice to think about while I was being tortured for eternity. Maybe some people would follow my saintly example, and I could enjoy knowing that I had spared some people the same torment. It would give me a little bit of hope and be a big "fuck you" to the devil.

Then I'd REALLY have better things to do than think of committing some great evil

Yeah, but are you really saving them? I mean someone else will probably come along and torment them? I'm not saying you should beat people up, but I think if I knew that I was going to be screwed in the long run I'd be more incline to screw others because someone will screw them and if you are gaining nothing from being nice and everyone else is treating you like dirt, and your afterlife will suck as well. Though if you sold your soul probably would have fame and fortune. But it would apply if you didn't sale your soul but were still going to hell

With a bit of luck, the devil might even be so disgusted with your saintly aura that he would spit you straight out of Hell

Of course, you'd still be in troubles then, because St Peter would not let you in to Paradise since your name is down on Hell's lists...

So I guess you'd end up in Limbo or something. But I think that would be OK somehow, because it would probably not feel much different from life here on Earth

Yes, but sometimes all it takes to "save" someone is just one person genuinely not screwing them. So I'm with Kiddo on that one: if I can be that one person, then it will support me through an eternity in Hell.

I really don't think I'd live any differently than I do anyways- I don't behave well out of fear of hell, so it wouldn't have any real influence!

I'll say this: If I'm going to Hell, I'm taking others down with me.

That way, I'd be able to form an army in the afterlife and we'll crash and burn down the holy paradise.
