I find it mildly amusing when in the midst of an argument "whatever" becomes the more sophisticated equivalent of sticking your tongue out and making that "mmmmmm" sound.

I think it might be a cultural association, though. I take no issue with the culture which perpetuated the Valley, surfer, stoner, or bro way of talking, and internalized it at a young age...but "meh" just makes me think of pretentious Internet dorks.

I'm sure there are also people who hate lolcat speak beyond all measure. Whar iz AJ Blaise, ennywai?

What about "Like, Oh My Goyd!" (I noticed lots of girls on American reality shows can't say "God" so they say "Goyd" instead, it's so funny, just like how they say "Piedee" instead of "Party" ).
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

The worst mistake people make in political arguments is assuming that the other side is not trying to do the right thing. This simple oversight makes productive conversation nearly impossible.

It sounds like you're watching Jersey Shore. Very distinct area of America. Most here just say "Oh my God" and "Party".

no it's the accent, that's how some dialects of the US speak.
