    Default Exile: 3 things.

You've just been informed that you're going to be exiled to an island, all by yourself. You're allowed to bring Three things you can carry in a bag, no bigger, and Three books.

What are they? and why would you bring them?

FINE, only things you can carry! They all have to fit in your bag at once, no smart ass rule-bending like " but they all fit in my bag, just... separately"

Sorry, but I can't play until the rules are set in stone.

This would be a lot easier if I could just claim "my survival kit" as #1 if thats ok, let me know, and I will edit, lol.

    #1 http://firesteel.com/products/FireSt...Magnesium.html

#2 A Blade kit, which includes a Winchester Folding Knife( has a blade, gut hook, and saw), a Good Fixed blade full tang hunting knife with sharpening stone, and a Folding Axe or just the axe head if I want to reduce weight (I assume this could count as one, since I assume a fishing kit would as well... what would some one do with just line, or just hooks, or just weights, right?) but if it doesn't, then I would choose just a good fixed blade full tang hunting knife with gut hook.

#3 -200 count box of 50 gallon super heavy duty garbage bags.

If I could include my whole kit, it would all easily fit in a small bag, and be far far better than this...lol

Books, I wish I could take a kindle with a solar panel, hahaha... its to hard to choose books... but If I knew I was being exiled it would probably be incredibly thick books that teach a few different complex subjects ive been wanting to learn about... im not sure which id choose right now... to hard to pick...maybe later, lol

    Things:

    1. A machete.
    2. A mortar and pestle.
    3. An astrolabe.

    Books:

    1. The Astrolabe
    2. SAS Survival Handbook
    3. An empty journal.

I would have liked to include a pen, but I'm sure that I would find a way to create a writing instrument out of materials on the island.

I assumed I would be allowed to go with the clothes on my back.

But, thinking about it practically... my clothes would wear out pretty quickly, and I'd be left nude then anyway. So I might as well go there naked, and see if I can fashion some clothes out of what's available. It's better than having clothes cut into my budget of items.

The important thing is to bring things that aren't easy to replicate out of available materials, and that will help keep you alive until you learn how to live off the island itself.

Well, at least take a sleeping bag! I wouldn't want you catching the cold.

Well, if it were a tropical island, it wouldn't get cold... would it?

But if it does get cold at night, then I suppose I could replace the mortar and pestle with a sleeping bag. Surely I would be able to fashion one out of something. It's just a stone bowl and a stick.
