I rely upon the kindness of dogs 'cause dogs never lie about love, however they do lie about food - no matter how much they are fed, they lie in their teeth, and say they are being starved, and all they want is more food. Don't believe them, dogs never lie about love, but they always lie about food.

A dog's personality really depends on how it was raised and trained. I wish people who aren't responsible enough to train and socialize their dogs wouldn't get them in the first place.

Anyway, I like most dogs, especially small to medium breeds. While I was growing up my family always had them - first an English Bulldog, then a Miniature Poodle, and later some Chihuahuas.

My mom's dog is basically a cross between a pig and a vacuum cleaner. At the slightest sign you're eating something, he appears at your feet, snorting incessantly. And when you sit down at the table, his head keeps popping up like a jack-in-the-box. He also has a great fondness for scented cat litter, or rather, what it clings to once a cat has used it. I do have to give him credit, though, for being friendly and not at all prone to barking. I certainly prefer him to my sister's pitbull, which keeps trying to rape me.

    Wolves are awesome, btw.
Haha, yeah, I think the fact that they remind me of Wolves, and some even look like them (and all dogs are descendant of the gray wolf, btw) is AWESOME!

I'd love a wolf dog, if I ever have the stability and responsibility to take care of one.

But yes, they're much higher maintenance than, say, a cat (if you're going to be a responsible dog owner, that is). I like cats too, that reason being part of it.

Dogs are messy, and smelly, and generally leave more hair, and are harder to potty train. But you can't go jogging with a cat. Nor will a cat bark at burglars or protect their owner. Such loyal creatures, it's rather odd. You can smack 'em and they won't bite back (usually, and no, I don't think that's always ok).

The only dogs that scare me (in a general way) are pit bulls, although I get along with them. They're genetic freaks. Bred for dog fighting, looks like they're on steroids. And they ARE dangerous, in the wrong situation.

Actually I feel a lot of memes portray cats as somewhat evil. This isn't a meme, but hey, funny and true:

Cats are born killers/hunters. "you can take the cat outta the jungle...."
