Exactly. I don't have time to sift through 10+ pages of new posts every day multiple times a day. I do have time to obsessively check if anyone's replied to me or to a thread I'm interested in. 90% of the time if I'm interested in a thread I'll post in it anyway, so auto-subscribe.

It really is just a new posts with an "interesting" filter.

But macguffin, then you don't see the new threads, if you just use subscriptions. I love to see new thread topics.

I skim thru that later, after replying to the interesting stuff. Don't get to 2000+ subbed threads by accident!

Yes, when pressed for time I use Homepage to see what people I have set as friends are talking about and check my subscribed threads(threads I post in) which right now maybe 6 or 7 are active.

None. But that could be partly because I have no idea what subscribing to a thread is supposed to do.

Puts it on my "user cp" page so I dont have to remember which threads I have posted in.

    Zero.

I get too many e.mails per day already. Also, I don't find it necessary. I can keep track of threads about interesting issues with ease.

    lol!!

Yeah... Zero for me too. For similar reasons I suppose; I don't have a need/purpose in subscribing to anything. I notice new threads that are created in the forums I'm interested in, I contribute to the ones I am interested in or can relate to, and follow the ones I've already posted in.
