I voted in yes, in self-defense, but I assume that to also mean in defense of others and country.

I think this is justifiable as self-defense.

My advice is to wait until after completing law school so that you can plot an adequate defense in advance.

Do you know New Zealand has no recorded serial killers? Lame, ay?
Why do we always come here?

    I guess we'll never know.

That was my thinking too. Mort probably wants to take notes from them, so it's probably frustrating if they don't get caught.

Though, it's likely New Zealand doesn't have any at all which is his real issue...

I know, what a crappy country.

I was just wondering, what's the policy on misquoting people on this board? Would it be frowned upon if I was to say...

I chose: Only in self defense!, Only if my children were in danger!, and Other.

    - If someone were to try and kill me I most certainly would not hesitate to take them out.

    - If my hypothetical child were in danger... or actually if any child were in any sort of danger, I would not hesitate to take someone out.

    - Other: Honestly, if anyone tries to physically hurt or do anything of that sort to anyone I love I would probably try and kill them.

    * I would probably then die of guilt thinking about how this person probably had a mom that loved them... blah blah blah. You probably know how that scenario goes...

Given the choice between an innocent person or someone capable of hurting an innocent leaving this world, I'd have to go with the choice that favors the innocent, and kill the bad guy. Hopefully, it wouldn't be my job to clean up the mess. I might hesitate to pull the trigger if I knew that there would be mopping or digging involved.
Yes... This would definitely play a factor in my decision too. Digging a grave is not worth it.

Where do you want the hole?

I'm way too nice to kill anyone.

not to scare anyone (ok, well, maybe just a little) but yes, and in more ways than one.

the acceptable reasons vary widely, needless to say it's a last resort.

for instance, if i was playing boggle with a small child and he/she was about to win, i would have no choice but to throw them through the closest window and then relish in my well-earned victory.
