Do you prefer to be told flat out?

Would you rather be taken aside somewhere private?

Be told flat out but in private. It's embarrasing but better to have one person find out than many find out later.

Do you prefer a physical communication , you know like someone keeps wiping the side of their mouth while looking at you.?

No, because I might not take the hint.

Would you prefer not to be told at all , and figure it our for yourself.

No, because I might not notice right away if at all. If I end up noticing it later, it would be even more embarrasing than being pulled aside because more people would have seen my faux pas.

How are you more likely to go about telling someone else?

Try to pull the person aside and whisper to them about the booger hanging, fly down, toilet paper stuck to the back of the shoe, etc. Tell them not to worry about it if they seem really embarrased because it happens to all of us from time to time.

Noooooooooooooooooo! Might as well advertize it on TV or something. Being told flat out usually involves loads of people around. I REALLY hate that. That kind public embarrassment would create emotional scarring to last me a lifetime.

In such an instance, when I finally notice it, it would be more likely that I would be concerned about something being wrong with their mouth, rather than interpret it as being directed toward me. Drool malfunction.

You better believe it. As soon as you notice something "malfunctioning", thank you very much.

    Thanks for being a friend.

How are you more likely to go about telling someone else?
    In private.

Oh, in a skirt-in-panties/tights situation, one has a moral obligation--nay, duty--to tell the unfortunate victim. I would be horrified to find out I'd been walking around like that and no one told me. That's the kind of thing that lowers your faith in mankind.

I'd be discreet about it, but I would tell someone if they had something in their nose or in their teeth. I'd either make a subtle hand gesture or whisper it to them. I'd try to act like it wasn't a big deal, though...I'd be casual about it, rather than going, "AREN"T YOU GLAD I TOLD YOU? IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO EMBARRASSING!"

Yep. I was out at dinner a few months ago and went the entire dinner with a dress shirt hanging out of my pants (had used it to clean my glasses I think). The guy I was with saw it but didn't say anything the whole time. I was like - what's wrong with you? :steam: Get it over and laugh about it, I say.

Just tell em quietly. "You have a huge piece of food between your teeth."

I prefer to be told. It usually happens with my zipper being down. Little fucker, always trying to escape.

I usually just laugh about it. Not to mention it adds to my haphazard charm.

i hope they'd just pick it off me and eat it.

I prefer to be told discreetly. I'm mortified, with anything less than discrete. Like "wishing the floor would swallow me up" embarrassed. I apparently blush bright red too.
I tell people discretely, or in the case of the booger, hand 'em a tissue and tell them to look in the mirror. (friends and acquaintances) I don't like it when people tuck my clothes labels back in for me...tell me!!!!! I hate strangers and near strangers touching me. *hairs on the back of my neck tingle*
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

If you notice I'm dry heaving, then you know there's a booger hanging off you somewhere that I can see.
