Yeah, I didn't think you'd have an answer for that.

    Your graph is flawed.

Of course it is, that's why I said it's a work in progress and put it up for refining and discussion!

I would place myself at the intersection of BW and you (sub). I'm uncertain about the learning/teaching scale because I read far more than I post but when I do post it's usually to give an opinion rather than to form one...so I guess I'm in the middle?

It's interesting that you seem to automatically consider top-left to be "negative", although I guess it's a pretty common view here.

    Other axes:

    postive/negative (ie critical/supportive, I guess)
popular/unpopular (though I guess that would correspond fairly well to socialness)
smart/dumb, if you want a fun controversial one
    arrogant/humble, for another fun one

There's really infinite axes, although some would be more relevant than others.

So this was basically an E/I horizontal axis crossed by a J/P vertical axis?

Hm, I don't think so Jennifer, because some of the most "teachy" people here are P's and there are some J's who seem to want to learn more than teach (cafe, Toonia...); likewise Proteanmix is an E but often talks unflatteringly about social methods of propagating/gaining knowledge and there are introverts who I'd say behave fairly socially such as FMWarner, Uber, and some of the INFx's. There might be some type correspondence later on when the system's been hammered out to work better though...

    - I'm beginning to think the critical/supportive idea needs exploration, but I've an intuition it already fits in somewhere on the existing model... say for example people who try to 'teach' by putting others down when they're wrong, giving unconstructive criticism and belittling opposing views, being an extreme top righter, whilst teaching with a combination of fact giving and encouragement would be making use of more social techniques, moving a top righter further along the horizontal axis??? But then again... you could say the former was an unhealthy version of a top lefter... ugh.

Shit, I need some coffee! lol

    You're forgiven.

As a side note: It's really confusing to readers when you keep going back and editing old posts. Mostly because people don't assume you are doing so, which means they don't go back and check. . . they just assume the conversation has moved forward. Likewise, when you do edit a post, it's customary to write "EDIT:" so folks know that you added-on to your original.

But then, maybe everybody knows you do that, except me, so they keep checking on your previous posts. . . who knows.

That'd be a bit too basic, IMO.
    Not really.
