it's true that peace of mind is important, but peace of mind is not simple. it requires certain psychological and physical needs to be met
    1) the right mind set
    2) autonomy
    3) doing something you're interested in
    4) enough money for a comfortable living space, quality food and healthy living conditions
    5) excellent health (sleep, excercise, diet etc)
    6) supportive friends
    7) enough money for healthcare

for NFs, we need even more
    1) the ability to dissociate from things we find unpleasant
    2) the feeling that life is an exciting adventure
    3) even more autonomy
    4) freedom to explore the world and expand our horizons
    5) sufficient free time for persuing hobbies, self reflection and relaxing
    6) a lifestyle that doesn't seem hopeless (Idealists are just that, and we have a tendency to become disatisfied and hopeless about things)

you probably will have other things on your list that I didn't. this is just what NFs in general tend to need (NFs are by far the most emotionally needy temperament and I believe the majority of us would be absolutely miserable living normal lives). personally, my list is about twice this long.

An infinite amount of time to study and think; not waste my youth on this bullshit job and this bullshit "degree".

Oh and a roommate who doesn't make me want to suffocate them.

    I want:

    uninterrupted sleep.

    uninterrupted thoughts.

my chemical sensitivity stuff to be all cleaned up so I don't react to it anymore.

The forty-hour work week law to be repealed so that I can work as many hours as I want, at ONE job, without getting paid overtime. (Which they never let you do... so you *must* get a second job in order to make more than the upper limit of 40 hours.)

    i want to be believed.

i want to have children before it is too late.

i want so many things... some of them are under my control, and some are not.... i could write a book-length monologue about all the things i want.

'what do you want?' is the question that my introverted feeling automatically asks me 24 hours a day. (now that i know about the functions, i can put a name on it.) but there's always a deeper level. what do you want right now, what do you want later, what do you want but you're afraid to try, what do you want but it's not under your control, etc...

i have a headache and i am in caffeine withdrawal.

    i want to be healthy.

    i want my freedom.

I wouldn't mind having Gerard Butler as my man.

And a mountain dew slushie. I want a slushie, dammit.

    God help me...

    ...I don't know.

Which sucks especially bad because I'm not content as I am right now.

I want to know what I really want.

Self-assertion skillz would be great too.

Most things wanted and then attained, haven't really been wanted. Only the challenge was wanted. So now I refuse to put any effort into anything until I'm certain it's wanted. Net result, there's nothing I sincerely want.
