You'd really hate me then. I'm always complaining about how annoying rap music is, and listening to Duran Duran, Styx, and Queen. I also refuse to carry a cell phone, and think those little ear things people use on those MP3 players are inferior to real headphones. I dislike the ugly new fashions where people walk around with their pants down and cursing every other breath (not only is it tacky-looking, it just seems pointless... why wear them at all if you're going to let them fall down or else hold them up by one hand?) Oh, and did I mention that I really like DeLoreans?
Hmm, maybe I should rephrase: I hate the schtick of the 80's. Poofy hair, bizarre space-agey clothes, big combs, the early MTV blitz, god-awful copycat electrosynth-pop. [And JEAN JACKETS -- YES, BUTTON-COVERED JEAN JACKETS!!!]
I don't consider Queen or Styx to be "trendy," though, even if they got popularized at some points in time, and Back to the Future (aside from the life jacket Marty wore into the past) is still a great movie.

“Pleasure to me is wonder—the unexplored, the unexpected, the thing that is hidden and the changeless thing that lurks behind superficial mutability. To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft
