Maybe I am the only person on Earth, but I found half of the film redundant.

Good, not great, but certainly better than Haneke's 'The Castle'. I really liked 'The White Ribbon', though.

I absolutely love the first 15-20 minutes, the sing-song. I bet it is not half as good in English as it is in German.

I'm sure you're right. I know the title was certainly dumbed down enough.

Man I just watched something called Bridge to Terabithia (spelling), I thought it would be some cheerful kids movie, it was bloudy heart breaking, seriously, I liked it but it just about made me miserable.

    Damnit.

I like a lot of old movies, Ten Angry Men, Mr Deeds Goes To Town, Lost Horizon a lot of black and white horror films from the fifties, like the Universal Studios monster movies.

More lately, well, I like Man on Fire, a lot, Taken, for similar reasons but its not as good, I'm a sucker for martial arts movies, like Bruce Lee's entire reportaire, some Jackie Chan movies like The Drunken Boxer movies and The New Fist of Fury, some Jet Li movies, in particular The Fist of Legend (I like that story and its retelling, the one about a famous Wing Chun boxer during the war between the Japanese and Chinese), I also liked the Kill Bill movies but mainly the first (the eastern as opposed to the western) and someone already mentioned Big Trouble in Little China (you know I agree with the opinion that that film, along with the original Karate Kid film, where two of the last western made movies which looked upon and could look upon Asian/Oriental culture as something alien or "other").

Besides that I love humourous movies or light hearted entertainment or adventure, Office Space, Yes Man, Mal Cop, Beverley Hills Cop, Back to the Future, The Nutty Professor movies, Dave and animated movies, I like the Toy Story movies, Wall-E and moralising movies dont bother me in the least, the messages about friendship, loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, trust and love anyone could learn from, especially the people who'd dismiss it the most or associate it with something they should have out grown years ago.
