A Christmas Story - probably my favorite
Miracle on 34th Street (the original)

I am just filled to the brim with a warm nostalgia with movies that depict those times/decades... which is funny because I never actually experienced them. Just the idea, though... more simple/'pure' (seemingly.. although this is probably partly just the age-old thing of idealizing past times) and less fast-paced than today.

I also Charlie Brown's Christmas and all of those old animation x-mas things (Rudolph, Santa Claus is Coming to Town.... )

Last year for fun, I bought a couple of DVD's with all the film versions, and we watched them, compared them. Very interesting! (Who is the best Scrooge? Best Marley? more or less faithful to Dicken's published work etc.)

These three are my favorites, along with How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the one with Boris Karloff’s voice)- though the only one I can’t do Christmas without is Muppet Christmas Carol. Michael Caine is my favorite Scrooge.

Hands down best Christmas movie EVAR.
    Absolutely right!

A Christmas Story is really good. I get kind of sick of it since my family can't get enough of it, but it's a good one. Miracle on 34th Street is good too (original).
