Bumping my own threads gives me orgiastic untold pleasure.

I think this thread is sorely needed right now. So much hate and bitch slapping. I need someone else's happiness to vicariously live through and emotionally absorb, dammit!

Even though my comp died (again----) two days before my bday and the current one I'm using, my dad's, just about died hours after my bday ended (as I took solace with it)... I might just be happy enough to get that iMac I wanted...even though I had to unhappily return my MBP not so long ago (which originally made me happy )...and unhappily spend money I don't wish to yet again....at least before I had the chance to WORK UP MY RESOLVE to spend on that MBP! Now...I don't have time to, gah!

But ah... I'm happy this stupid comp didn't die! (just yet!!)

Right. I'm...err...happy...! ...even with this pulsating headache.

My brother's new puppy is so freaking adorable. She's sweet and no especially bright and so small and fluffy she's like a giant hamster! :squeal!:

She's sleeping in her doggie brother's 'crate' across from me so she can see me while she sleeps and not freak out.

P.S. My laptop is also on its last legs. Only lasted 6 months! HP will replace it for free but I'm slightly suspicious.

    - kayaking, and randomly deciding in the middle of the day to go kayaking, despite not being dressed for it and being in the middle of a grocery store
    - having friends that have accepted the fact that it's perfectly normal for me to go kayaking in argyle socks and khakis with my groceries on shore
    - Spring (holy crap I forgot how overwhelmingly green it gets here)
    - Euler products
    - ted.com
    - flowers, leaves, plants; how they grow, how they smell, how the heck it comes about that dirt + sun + water = plant.
    - spontaneous synchrony
    - gardening, despite the fact that I'm terrible at it
    - automatic/self-powered rain collection/irrigation systems (or, at least, attempting to create them)
    - CC's new avatar (argyle socks + tap shoes = )
    - the star Spica in the Virgo constellation. If you look out that way this time of year you're looking away from the center of the galaxy, so you can see other freaking galaxies with a telescope/binoculars. (holy crap, amirite?)
    - children's books
    - random and strange fantasies of writing children's books
    - how overwhelmingly complicated and mysterious everything is if you just keep asking "why?"

Plenty of things make me temporarily happy: bourbon, Thai food, red wine, new socks, Mizoguchi films, The Stone Roses, being by the water, a good lay, writing something new, taking a day off to read a whole book in a day, Going to the gym after everyone else is asleep.

For the long-term contentment and happiness in life: freedom, being supported by a lot of great people, being kept young by playing with my niece, and finally knowing what I want to do in life.

Playing piano gives me peaceful contentment. As does an overcast, drizzly day.

I get excited when talking about my philosophical ideas.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

    I forgot to add this:
