Question Are you an early or a late sleeper?

I read somewhere once that there are two patterns of sleeping:

    1) people who are tired in the end of the day and sleep early; they get up early and energetic and loose energy during the activity of the day;

    2) peolpe who sleep late and wake up slowly; they gain energy during the day and so they are at the top when others go to sleep.

    My questions are?
What makes an early sleeper? Being an S, a J or both?
What makes a late sleeper? Being an N, a P or both?

    What is your case?

by nature I get up later and stay awake later... I enjoy the evening most of all

as required for work I get up at the god-awful hour of 5:20 am and therefore spend most of the day wanting a nap until it's evening, when I feel awesome

any time before 8 am isn't morning in my book

I'm definitely a late sleeper, and a slow waker. I usually go to sleep around 4, or lately, 5.

Late sleeper, early but fairly inept riser. Sleep is a waste of time. NJ here.

    ^ I agree.

I wake up at 08.00 AM, and go to sleep around 02.00 AM.

I'm at my best at midnight.

I've read before that this has to do with the time of the day in which you were born (I was born at midnight), not with personality traits.

I was born around 7:30 in the morning and I detest that hour.

I'm definitely #2. I'm sooo not a morning person, and I feel energized by nighttime. However, I need a lot of sleep & do have to function in the real world, so I don't necessarily stay up really late (read: past 2am).

I notice more J types I know IRL being early risers, but I think that's just those individuals.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)
