I've never really had much of an issue getting up early, so I guess I fit better under option 1). For myself, I think a big part of it is good discipline. But I have also always liked mornings and many activities that I enjoy are ones that are best early morning rather than later in the day.

I think I'm most alert in the mornings too. At least.. once I'm up and moving.

I'm probably most sluggish in the afternoons, however. Evenings I can perk up once again, but I've never been a night owl. I'll stay up late now and then and it's fun and it's not like I *must* get to bed at a certain hour each night... but, yeah, if I'm just by myself I'm always in bed before 11 or 12.

I'm pretty early compared to my peers, but late compared to people who are a few years older, I would imagine. On weekends, bed around 12-1 and up around 830-9 is my usual habit, with some exceptions. My energy level rises until about 11 and then drops off steadily until I go to sleep.

I guess that makes me more in group 1? I don't know. I despise getting up before the sun, like in winter.

Oh, I'm totally with you on that. It's SO hard getting up in the winter.

I would be an night owl, if I actually had an option to begin with.

Depends on the mood and the amount of energy i've exerted during the day.

Usually i'm in bed by 10-10.30pm and up at 7am (on a weekday) but i NEED my sleep as i'm grouchy without it (although i did well today). Weekends i can sleep for 11/12 hours.

I have noticed on occasions where i have been awake at 5am that there is something soothing about it and also where i have been awake until 1-2am that i'm getting a glimpse of something i don't usually see. It's cool.

If I could sleep all day and stay up all night, I would. My mind just operates better at night, and I've never been an "outdoors" sun-loving type person. I prefer the cold, and the stars.
    Love is the point.

I'm a morning person. I have to go to bed by 11, or else I'm tired the next day. But I wake up at 5:30 for work. Even on the weekends, and I've stayed up till 2am, I am incapable of sleeping past 8:00.

I like to get up around 11 am, when the sun is good and strong. Not that I go out in it. I'm just sayin'. I feel sick if I have to get up much before 8 am. The day doesn't seem to have its legs under it yet and it makes me pukish.
