I think a lot of yearbook quotes sounds disingenuous. Like "forced" fluffiness. That might be what YWIR means by them being a bunch of BS.
Thats exactly what I meant. lol

I remember pulling shit out of my ass when signing peoples yearbooks as well.

My ISTP senior year, before we knew we'd be good friends:
"ONCE I BLUDGEON YOU OVER THE HEAD WITH MY NINE IRON I'M GOING TO TAKE YOU TRAINING PANTS AND HANG THEM ON MY CHICKEN/FLAMETHROWER"

I'll post more when I regain access to my yearbooks

Oh dear. I don't know that I want to play.

But, dude, I had some chick from Uzbekistan sign my yearbook my senior year and I've never been able to read it. I think I should try to find somebody who can translate it.

Yearbook isn't handy, but I was involved in drama in HS and got 'Most Likely to go to Hollywood," I was also nominated for a couple of the various "youse purty smart" awards every school has, but didn't win of them. Also nominated for "Driving Miss Daisy (Slowest Driver)" and "Best Dressed (Male)", both of which I also did not win (nominations based on number of votes).

Just dug out all my yearbooks this past weekend... The one that made me the most curious is from my soon to be brother-in-law...

"You must be a really great person to put up with all my crap. I hope that never changes about you. Love, Rob"

And my favorite... "Don't eat the yellow snow. Joel."

    Here are a few more.

    Jon,

It was truly a pleasure to have you in class. You were one of the consistently best prepared students in class. I trust your excellent memory and intelligence will help you to make millions in the future. Remember us little folks when you're famous. Best of luck.

    Teacher
    Jon [lastname]!

I can't wait to see you at the reunion. I'm serious. Totally can't wait. I'm glad I finally had a class with you, and got to meet the, well, famous-ish Jon [lastname]. You were, and I guess still are, so interesting that (at the beginning of this hell with [teacher]) that I was going to make a documentary about you, and then I didn't. OH well. You are one interesting person Jon [lastname]. Yes you are. It's been swell getting to know you. Have lots of fun in college, of course you will, and a great summer!

    What's up Jon,

It's been great getting to know you, and listening to all your insight on subjects in Government or seeing you bust a move at the school dances. I think it is so great to finally see a guy getting all crazy on the dance floor. I see great things for you in the future, plus I'll probably see you around Berkeley this fall. Have a super summer.
