Why do non-manufacturing industries, such as health care and software programming, insist on using 6Sigma, a methodology that is clearly more suited to widget production than people management?

Because 6 sigma is a trend and following trends give people the impression that the company is doing something right, regardless of the validity of the tool used. People will use heuristics to judge the value of something, so using 6 sigma gives an aura of credibility for the company to people who cannot be bothered and have no interest to analyse the logic and foundations behind the tool.

I'm touring Europe this summer. Are Venice and Amsterdam worth going to as much as Paris and London?

I would recommend going to Venice as it is a beautiful city with a wonderful history behind it, certainly on par with the likes of Paris and London.

It's not a decision that you're asking me to make. Ask an INTP for the answer to that question.

I've been trying to decide whether or not I should spank my professor in front of all of her other students, because she's told me that she likes to be excited and has a high threshold (If you read my other posts about this professor, I think that she's really an ENFJ, given this comment).
