I don't understand how nobody seems to see the danger in that we require clean water to survive.

I don't understand nationalistic people who would die for their own country. What's the point if your dead? I don't understand loyalty, tradition, culture, religion and all these other nonsense. They contribute shit to technological progress. Why do people care about these false abstractions? I don't understand why people care for the extinction of some useless species.

^ On that note, I doubt I'll ever understand unwarranted pride for things outside your sphere of control. I don't understand why you would take full pride in your children, as your children had a hand in the pot of their own lives. School pride goes under the same umbrella. I guess it's a feeling of needing to be part of something greater than oneself to the point of inflating ones ego until it's stretched over some misfortunate thing.

There is nothing faster than the speed of light right?

Assume there is train A, and train B inside of it. Both traveling at the speed of light.

Mary is standing topless outside of the trains.

What is the speed of train B, in rapport to topless Mary?

Time slows down when you go close to the speed of light, and if you are just near the speed of light, time has slowed down so much it is impossible to go faster.
It's like a speed limit, light = winner.

Saw it on some BBC doco a month or so ago, pretty interesting.
They used the exact same analogy as you.

They also went on to talk about time travel (back in time) and how black holes could help.

Oh yeah....I totally forgot about this

I think I saw the same documentary.

If the train travels with the speed of light and joe is walking inside the train with 5km/hour , time will slow down to compensate the 5km/h which would theoretically surpass the speed of light.

Imagine how much time would theoretically be dilated if there were many trains, all inside of each other, and you know...the train track would be the circumference of Earth.

    hehe

Are we allowed to give people explanations to help them understand?

Everything here that isn't understood could be understood, in terms of the motivations that lead people to act in puzzling ways. Perhaps its not that we dont understand, it is that we do have a suspicion of understanding, but reject motivations we cannot accept in another human being.
