    Default Function Music

So I was kinda wondering what kind of music the different functions "like the most" if you will.

this might seem a little stupid, but i'm too curious to care!

    Ti: something complex

    Te: something antifun and orderly

Fi: a lot of people say emo music

    Fe: goody two-shoes music

    Si: folk music

Se: whatever is supposed to be popular (according to radio)

    Ni: something very complex

Ne: something dream theater-ish (many random things(think the dark eternal night))

these are just what i think it is.

please help me get over this sub-obsession!

oh yeah, if I didn't make it clear please contribute!

I need emotional dynamics, words that don't distract from the music, and the impression of authenticity/spontaneity. And interesting musicality.

I love wilco, late fugazi, Jim o'rourke, spoon, soundgarden. Opera recently.

Dream Theater and the like don't resonate with me. Too cerebral. I do enjoy iron maiden on the juke box every once in a while. I need music to hit me in the gut.

I actually agree with the dream theatre-ish statement. I've posted songs in my blog that I thought screamed ENFP, I'll post some Ne specific songs here later.

a good example of a ne-ish song would be "like a boss"

I'm using all classical pieces so there's no question of musical bias and so nobody says, "It's not like that, I don't like that group/band/artist."

    Ti: Bach's Minuet

    Te: Night on Bald Mountain

    Fi: Handel's Messiah

I don't know about any other functions, those are the only three that come to mind with a piece of music that clearly fits them well.
