How does it affect your view of the person?
I've met people who smoke multiple times a day, took 21 units during the semester, and got all A's and B's; i've met people who worked hard during the day, came home, and smoked; i've met people who were depressed and smoked to cope. it doesn't affect my view because in and of itself it doesn't matter.

Now, because this isn't a huge issue doesn't make it a non-issue. If you don't like it, then that person probably isn't for you. I would treat it about the same as I would someone with moderate drinking.

Let me hear a HELL NO!!!!!!

Just like I wouldn't be with a cigarette smoker.

    Or an alcoholic.

    Nah, definitely a deal breaker.

I think it's bordering on a huge issue because of the OP's use of the word "often". If we're talking somebody who smokes up every once in a while, my level of concern drops to almost zero.

it might have been an issue for me had the op not listed...motivated...i wouldn't want to be with someone that just smoked all day and never wanted to do anything with me.

There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

As long as they are smart about it (not smoking in public or driving high) and don't use it as an excuse to make their home smell like smoke, I would embrace it. I think some people grow that stuff. Actually it's probably a pretty healthy thing to do casually, similar to drinking and eating. It used to be thought that weed killed brain cells, but it was later found out to be a ploy to get people not to smoke it; it's probably not any more harmful than alcohol.

Doesn't bother me. Weed makes them more mellow and even easier to hangout with

Weathergirl: Chance of rock showers today upgraded to 90 percent.

Doesn't bother me. As long as they aren't trying to get me to smoke it with them, I really don't care all that much. I have known smokers that have had more drive and done better in school than me.

So I wouldn't suddenly decide against dating someone just because they smoked weed.

I actually find cigarettes a bigger turnoff...because it seems to be more constant.
