    Default Wish list

What do you want to do before you die?

    I need some ideas.

    - try every type of wine out there and try my best to savor it

    - climb Mt. Kilimanjaro before the snow on top melts

    - catch a merchant boat down the Amazon (or up the Amazon- doesn't matter!)

    - ride a camel

    - visit every continent- at least once!

    - get a Master Sommelier certification!

    - read a large and important book start to finish (preferably an interesting one- but as someone with reading issues it would be nice to say that I actually had read a book of some importance in my life! )

    - float in the dead sea

    - make my own wine- and do a really good job of it!

    - go back to Paraguay- buy something even more interesting!

    - more people on my to do list

    - learn to swim well

hmmm.... there's a few to start with!

    1. Make enough money that I can have a certain level of financial freedom.

    2. Build up a social network of friends to help me feel emotionally supported and cared about.

    3. Learn as much as I can about the things I'm interested in.

    4. Write an autobiography.

    What do you think?

    Hi Whatever,

Here's a link to an amazing photo of a person floating on the Dead Sea:

I would like to see a picture of them when they wake up and can't see the beach.

Yes, it's cool. My daughter used it with the artist's permission for her bat mitzvah program; her Torah portion was about Lot's wife.

Good luck with the winemaking and sommelier certificate.

I taught myself the breaststroke last summer.

    My wish list:

Secure a specialist position in an academic or public library.

Visit the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce and Glacier National Parks.

Take a plein air watercolor class. Join a chorus or dance troupe.

Redo my kitchen so both of us can cook in there at the same time.

Actually whatever's list looks pretty good to me.... And athenian, your autobiography idea sounds like a good goal.

Mine's gonna look partly like hers, with some other stuff thrown in too:

-Visit Alaska, Maine, and some of the other U.S. states I haven't been to yet. Spend as much time in natural areas as possible.
-Visit Australia, New Zealand, India, parts of central America, many parts of South America, India, Nepal or Bhutan, Kenya, other parts of eastern Africa, maybe some parts of southern Africa, or western Africa, and maybe a few more countries in Europe. Maybe go back to the greek isles, and visit some ones I didn't see the first time, and also maybe go to the Galapagos and a few of the Pacific islands.
-Visit the central and south american countries before most of the birds and other animals have gone extinct
-Get my North American bird list up to at least 500.
-Read as many novels as possible & whatever non-fiction strikes my fancy. I'm not going to pretend to know what I might be interested in in 30 years, but maybe I'll really want to learn about quantum physics at that point. ;-) In which case I'll do that.
-Improve on my photography and painting and maybe sell a few if I'm lucky
-Invest in some land and preserve it (doubtful at this point, but hey, might as well throw everything on here! )
-Try to get better at making more connections with people and maintaining them
-Find some sort of community of like-minded people
-Have some more (or hey, I won't complain if it's just one more) meaningful and **healthy** romantic relationships
-Grow as a person and hopefully grow wiser
-Really try to make a difference in the lives around me and try to help people using my strengths
-Figure out a life path that really speaks to me - or continue refining it (more likely) throughout my life
-Just grab onto whatever opportunity comes my way..that's really what it boils down to. Make the most of my life and the time and opportunities that are given to me.

It's kinda sad that more than a few of these 'wishes' end up going something like "I want to do this and that before all the animals die" or "...before all the snow melts."

As if our lifetimes aren't short enough as it is!

As for my list, I will have to think about it and get back to you.
