Yeah, please. That's my Aphroditehiney you're referring to here.

These signs are not always as obvious, but the forum is peppered with such clues that one can use to see what groups exist, both large and small. Some people keep them more secret; others make their affiliations clear.

There's not just one group either, there are layers upon layers of groups, sub-groups, fringe-groups, wanna-be in the groupies etc.

I'm not passing judgement on that; it just is.
This very much seems to be true.

What can I say? I like human puzzles. Human systems intrigue me, but I wouldn't say it's for political purposes so much as I like getting it all figured out.

I think it's fun and random, like a game, and sometimes you just want to get something off of your chest without either being rejected (like someone already said) or causing a direct confrontation. I find some of the things people say entertaining and mysterious, and it doesn't make me paranoid at all. I like the oddity of the collection of messages.

That thread does not intrigue me at all. In fact, I'm quite sure it would make me paranoid.

It totally makes sense. Don't get me wrong, it's not a criticism. You've just enlightened me to a fundamental difference related to people. I see people who do the very things you describe, who are quite political with their use of that information, and seem to enjoy it. There was a discussion last night over dinner for example..... (ho-hum...). It has not ever interested me which is probably not a helpful thing from a career perspective. Maybe it's an Fe thing. I can see a great deal of practical value from it - not to mention it being fun as you described if it's something you enjoy. When I go into a room, I want to talk to the person who is the most interesting, who has the intensity or the juice, not the one who has the most influence. I'll get a rapid sense of the power structure and where it lies but I would seek to co-exist and not suck up to it. You see the brown nosing sort of behavior a lot in business and it somewhat annoys me.
