And I wanted to put the thought out there, that when I first saw this thread, I thought it was something that happened on vent. Where maybe someone would be reading a guided imagery to others. Has anyone ever done guided imagery? Would that be an option?

It seems that I have to turn in my J card, too. I completely forgot about it this week.

Better late than never, though I still don't think I deserve my J card back.

Just finished about 30 minutes of meditation. As I noticed what I was feeling physically (tension in my shoulders, etc.) I would start to think about writing about it here, but then I would try to let the thoughts go instead of holding on to them. I drifted in and out of near sleep a few times--that was a nice peaceful state to be in. Whenever I tensed up, I tried to focus on my breath, and then from there focus on nothing--just letting the thoughts and physical feelings come and go as they would. I had set an alarm on my computer, thinking that that would free up my mind from worrying about how long I had been meditating, but it had a bit of the opposite effect in that I worried about the alarm going off. I think, overall, I was more tense this time than the first time, but still fairly successful.

I watched this video shortly before meditating:

I was really sick today, so I didn't get the chance to.

Thanks for writing @Eilonwy. I hereby grant you a temporary J license while we wait for the official one to come in
