Let's assume you wouldn't get older either. You reach physical maturity (20s) and stop there.

    Why or why not?

    Yes! Absolutely!

I get to live forever AND remain physically in my 20s????

Why would anyone NOT want that???

That's what I'd like to know.

I think for me it is that I can't see how to expand the idea to include everybody and the earth. And if everybody isn't along for the ride then I am not into it. Plus, I don't see ageing and death as particularly bad or something to avoid.

I just like the whole process.

I'd like to live the rest of my life as a 20 year old. Benjamin Button style.

No. The thought of immortality is far scarier to me than the thought of dying. I wouldn't mind living 100-200 more years past my original lifespan, but nothing more than that. Death is inevitable; we all die. No one has ever lived forever, and I certainly don't want to be the exception.

    YES! Yesyesyesyes.

As long as I keep a 'livable' physique and an in tact brain that is. I don't like the thought of decomposing and becoming zombified plantlife for all eternity..

Yes, given that it would be 'ageless'. Not susceptible to becoming old and senile =P

    Hmm.
Part of me wants to say yes, but part wants to say no. It may completely deplete the novelty of life. Watching humanity become more open-minded, yet more deteriorated is a bittersweet concept.

To live that long, you might expect some kind of radical change to happen. To be involved in it, rather than being a spectator, could be beyond tedious. You watch everyone you learn to care for die. The knowledge you gain could fall short on people who don't share your lifespan.

Then again, you may contribute to a radical change. Life may unshackle itself from the preordained ideals we set under a time constraint. You have more time to absorb positive experiences and more time to explore them.
This really comes down to feeling optimistic or pessimistic, for me.

Nah...I think I would rather be reincarnated in to something or someone else.

Imagine if the world ended, and you were the only one left...that would suck!

Yeah, as long as I could look 20 forever and have the option to kill myself when I get extremely bored of it.

I was implying that everyone lived forever- not just you.

I find it interesting that people would want to kill themselves? Why? I think the prospect of never dying would be great- I can't see how you'd ever get bored or stagnant. Knowledge is infinite.
