As society is moving from an industrial culture based on print, to etribes in the global village based on electronics, so we are moving from specialised work, called jobs, to roles, called avatars.

So naturally I asked what avatar do I like the most. And the answer stood out as Mole. Mole is diffident, trusts his friends, gets by with a little help from the Water Rat, Badger and Toad. And Mole, as befits an introvert, lives underground but is discovering the great outdoors with his new friends.

But what is fascinating is that my life imitates my art, and I am starting to be known as Mole in Canberra as I go about my daily life.

Just as I was baptised a christian in Wangaratta, Victoria, I have been baptised into the role of Mole on Typology Central.

Kullervo is probably the character in mythology with whom I feel I have the most in common, and the folklore of Northern Europe has influenced me since I was a young boy. I think that this name is more befitting and meaningful than that by which I had gone in the past.

(And for the people who haven't figured it out already by looking at me, no I'm not Finnish.)

    My username?

    It's easy to spell.

I love octopuses. (Yes, that is the correct pluralization.) They're intelligent, shy, curious, fascinating animals. They also have a devilish streak that I find hilarious.

"Bad Octopus" is also my pen name on Fanfiction.net. There, I said it. I write fanfiction. I'm pretty damned good at it, too. One of my stories has almost 500 reviews.

Now I'm thinking this should probably be in the Confessions thread.

My name is just the combination of "Eva" and "Stover", which is an alias I used to write fantasy stories online under. I also use it for my minecraft username, so there's that :P
