I thought it was Hall 9000's earlier version.

    Ahhhh, an interesting observation!
The HAL 1974 computers were designed to pilot space craft, but their platinum circuitry and plutonium-ion batteries had unexpected effects on the programming once operational...

On all starships that HAL 1974 computers served as a central control unit, the following occurred:
    (1) Weapons systems were converted to speaker systems,
    (2) Hydraulic work machines transformed the shuttle bays into massive arenas, and
    (3) Navigation systems were re-configured to serve as virtual analog synthesizers, drum machines, vocal processors and DMX lighting systems

NASA was baffled. Astronauts from every mission wound up lost in space as the starships escaped detection...
Once rescue missions were deployed the reality became clear when the crew of a rescue ship finally boarded onto a converted HAL 1974 starship.
Every single astronaut was dancing their ass off, eating an abundance of pure food from the ship's aqua-ponic gardens, and creating works of art.
The rescue mission crew sent a transmission to Mission Control explaining the circumstances and then quickly defected to join the party of the HAL 1974 astronauts.
Mission Control immediately placed all remaining HAL 1974 systems on a massive rocket and shot it into space, ultimately intended for a crash landing on Mars.
However, astronauts from the International Space Station intervened by taking control of the rocket and landing it safely on Mars.
NASA and Mission Control deny these incidents to this day, but occasionally audio/video transmissions from the surface of Mars are detected where none should exist.

Yesterday one was received, the initial imagery was limited in scope:

But as the signal strength increased the activity on Mars was definitive:

The meaning of this is undeniably clear:

All the world is a rave, it's best to make love and not war - and - don't forget to shake your booty.

    Uhm

That act is pretty hard to follow, @Halla74. Thanks

garbage is just funny. To me. Which is what matters. It also means that we have official, direct mod decrees and actions coming from a man named garbage. It is a reminder that should not take everything so seriously.

bologna was similarly motivated, but garbage just hammers the point home.
