It was Dec 1998, I was a newlywed, it was a saturday evening, and I stared at the white stick with 2 pink lines, my body numb as I called out .... honey......

we were happy, scared, excited, nervous, unsure..... he said that package came with 2 right? uh yah.... Um how about you try again in the morning.... I did and I watched it change in 30sec or less... I was dumbfounded

Aug 1999 I sat in my room with my husband, a brand new baby girl in her bassinet, he and I looked at her and said, no ones coming to get her.... she's ours... it was surreal to be honest.

For about 2 minutes I thought you were talking about a candy cane.

Moving out of my parents into my own place was the single most life altering experience of my entire life.

It's something that's really hard to explain to people who still live at home with their parents, but that singular moment where you start building your own life on your own terms feels intimidating... until you reach it. And then it transforms into this utterly liberating feeling, the kind you'll never forget and likely never experience again in your life.

Still, nothing ever truly prepares you for it.

i've had near death experiences with violence and car accidents, i've saved
someone from freezing to death, i've nearly broken my back in a snowboarding
accident, family members have died, family members with cancer, best friend
with cancer, but none of that shit never really influenced me, or at least
    that is what i believe.

i don't care if people know details of my life so i'll write down a quick list..
you can choose which parts of my life was "life changing" because i don't
really know myself.. none of this is anything big though..

(and no, i can't look at the brighter side of life)

Considering the circumstances, I'd probably call you a freakin' optimist! Or a realist, at the least.

You're well aware of the reality of the situation. I've seen people crumble far worse under similar experiences. You're still here. Maybe a little indifferent to everything because of what you've been through, but still here nonetheless.

I think you'll figure it all out eventually. You at least know what road not to take.

    OMG

At least there is some consistency in your life tho, "move to a new place, new step dad" part seems to repeat all the time. I guess your mom isnt really that big on changes as it looks.
