    Eh, it's a thing that's there.

    If I want to tell someone something, I'll either reply to them in the thread, post it on their wall, or PM them about it, depending on the nature of the response. I've rarely ever used the rep system.

    I'm constantly getting repped (for some unfathomable reason that I can't figure out), and while I appreciate the compliments (who wouldn't?), its a very impersonal approach.

    I agree on it being impersonal, but it feels like finding a present.

    Yeah, I like receiving and giving at the same time. There's something special about know that your needs and your co-poster's needs are being met simultaneously. Sure, it might be a little awkward to get the mechanics down the first few times, but it still feels good.
