Metal important papers box.
External hard drive (lots of pics on that thing and it's easily portable).
(Assuming dogs and cats are already safe.)
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.” ~ John Rogers
Assuming that all the living are out including the animals, Kitty Deity--Azrael and The Dog Personified--Dax, it would be:
1. The laptop. I'd strap it to me back.
2. The camera--it took me too long to save up enough ducats to buy that sucker. That would hurt...
3. My books...that fire better be the size of match and take at least 3 days to make evacuating necessary.
