    Default post your treasures

i just found a bag that was taped closed, the bag was actually a puking bag on airplane(unused ofc) from my trip to hungary(i was 10 back then) that i saved as souvenir(yes i kept the puking bag ). i wondered what it had in it so i decided to open and there was some treasures that i had collected when i was a kid.

This is what i found in it:

those coins are some anniversary special silver coins. one of them is 50mark(for 150th anniversary of kalevala( the finnish national epic)), but others are only 10marks.

that rock with those blue crystal things used to be full of those crystals, they brake really easily and brake into this light blue powder thing. too bad i have broken it since it was really cool when it was covered fully with those crystals, now the bag was full of this powder..

id like to see what kind of treasures other people have. i think ill post some more of mine later.

That is so cool .. All from a sick bag, lol.

I used to hold onto items that were sentimental for whatever reason. I'll look around and see what i can find.

    Wicked idea for a thread.

markka(mark in english) is the currency we used in finland before we got euros. they had their own mark in germany also and i think in few other countries.

Here is some more treasures i got. i bought them from hungary when i was 10 when we visited some small town(parád?) that had a crystal mining, factory and they had a shop in the factory.

i also bought this cool colored snake that was made from crystal also, but my mom broke it accidentally few days later.

its funny that when i was a kid i bought these useless things that i found cool instead of some toys or lots of candy. when we were in hungary i spent almost all my spending money that my mom gave me on these crystal objects that have no real use, but are really cool. I also bought this really cool (and really expensive for my budget, maybe like one weeks spending money that my mom gave me) scale that looked like the one that is commonly used as libra astrological sign. libra astrology sign is called a scale in finnish and since im a libra i thought it was really cool. After i bought it i let my mom carry the bag it was in for some time and she forgot it somewhere and it was stolen after we walked like 5 meters away.. But she gave me the money it costed and i bought a cool watch.

Amazon.com: Panzer Dragoon Saga: Video Games

    This is my only treasure.

I can't keep up with all the trash around the house. I'm not one to keep mementos either.

Very cool thread! And what fun to discover all that stuff from a long-ago trip, in an air-sickness bag! Such a childlike yet practical thing to do - store treasures in a sick bag.

I'll have to see what treasures I can dig up and take some pics to post.

I'm not a collector of any kind, and I don't keep shinies, but now I want to. You know, just to have them around the house.
