I'd love to live in Germany or a country where they speak a Romanic language. I have a strong interest in linguistics but am terrible at learning other languages so the immersion in the culture might help me learn.

I have. But I could speak that language too. I would again elsewhere or otherwise.

If given the opportunity, I would. I'd kill for an experience like that actually. You'd immerse yourself in a new culture and eventually perhaps even learn the language. It would probably be easier to learn a language that way too because you'd be forced to speak it with other locals.

It depends... do they have flying roaches, abundant public restrooms and are the denizens friendly and not angry looking? I suppose it could be fun if I had money to hire a translator to shop and order stuff for me, so yes....but probably not.

For a truly alien experience I’d rather live with actual aliens. Don’t be ridiculous, of course they’re out there- somewhere. Need I post the scope of the universe vid again? Okay then.

As a foreigner it's often easier to get to know new people, especially in countries with only few foreigners. On the other hand, I have heard that in some places you will always be considered a "foreigner" and never really accepted.
