I'm overwhelmed by the sheer number of responses to this thread.

HAHAH! Touche. So... I just checked it out and saw the following: gromit: Viewing Who's Online. Cutely self-referential.

Hang in there and realise you don't have to respond to everything and the feedback button (middle button under the avatar of a poster at the bottom of the post) is a good quick way to send a small personal message if you don't want to make it public.

Except that it doesn't seem to work now... I guess it has to do with the weird stuff the forums been doing for a couple of days.

    Wink

It's no problem for me. I just pick a few interesting people.

    And stalk them.

I just simply don't read everything. I always skip certain channels, because I don't find them interesting (health, sports and food for example just aren't interesting to me). Then I skip threads with boring, complicated and annoying titles and I also skip threads with subjects that are confrontating to me. Once I open a thread, I decide if I want to read it. Most of the time I skip threads with long OPs because I can't concentrate on reading for very long. If I do read a long to medium OP, you can usually notice I'm tired when you read things I posted after reading those OPs (these posts are extremely short, like "I want to post something, but I really don't have the energy and I'm too distracted right now" and yes, this post is already very long compared to my other posts). I always read new posts in threads I already posted in myself and also when something is really interesting to me. Sometimes I go searching for one special subject, because it just popped into my mind.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

Sometimes I post from my mobile phone, when I do that the sheer size of this forum annoys me greatly.

But besides that, I have no issues with the forum size on my laptop.

I wasn't really. I just found the areas that I wanted to post in and did. I ignore about half the site nowadays; so it's not that much.
