But my ideal would probably be somewhere between southern IL and TN.
I live close to southern IL, and you can get all four seasons in about a week here. Last year we went from 70+ degrees on a Tuesday to wind-shrieking ice storm that knocked out my power for 5 days on Thursday. Another anecdote... last thursday it was something like 7 degrees outside... and windy. Monday? 75. It's almost to the point to where our seasons are just general trends, rather than defined periods. On the other hand, it's sort of nice when the bad weather never lasts much longer than a week or two. Still, give me a nice 50-65 all years round - don't care if it rains, but that temperature is about right.
Today it rained all day, and must have been quite a bit above freezing because a coat was too warm. It's normally absolutely freezing, snow everywhere, etc etc at this time of year. Instead, now it's massive (from the huge snowfalls around christmas) piles of slush everywhere....gross.
