    *chuckles*

    So what's everyone's dream conditions?

Optimal temperatures for aelan: 22 degrees - 28 degrees (Celsius), a nice sea breeze at night, land breeze in the days. At least 10 hours of sunlight. A sun I can feel on my skin. A rain that washes everything clean (not a wimpy rain that can't make up its mind :steam: ).

I'm pretty much a tropical critter.

dream conditions? in the 20s with snow between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day

after that it should be ~65 degrees and sunny, with occasional thunderstorms until Memorial Day

between Memorial Day and Labor Day it should be about 85 degrees and humid, with occasional thunderstorms (by occasional I mean once a week )

between Labor Day and Thanksgiving ~65 degrees and sunny, with occasional thunderstorms again

THAT would be perfect weather! (yeah- you can tell that I'm from the Midwest I guess )

Around 60-70 Fahrenheit, which is about 15-20 celsius, with a slight breeze at the higher temperatures, partly cloudy to mostly sunny.

Right now where I am it is a nice fall day in the middle of winter.

I like mid-upper 60s and forcefully raining. It used to be fun to get chilly and wet, and then warm again in a hot bath. The sound of rain on a silent house calms me down better than anything. I'm Scottish that way, I guess?

    I'm not complaining.
Now I'll have a chance to shovel out the wood stove and get ready for the next round.

I actually like the 4 seasons, and I think I'd grow weary of the same climate every day of the year. When autumn hits, I want to snuggle up inside with a warm cup of tea. I wouldn't get the same sentimental urge if it was 60 or 70 outside all the time. :-)

But my ideal would probably be somewhere between southern IL and TN. I hear even CO would be to my liking. I like crisp winter days, but I like them to be mild - like, no colder than in the 20's. 30's or 40's would be ideal for the winter months - that way I'd still enjoy being outdoors. I don't need anything under 20. Yuck.

im partial to slightly warmer weather, -20 to -10 or so is nice, with strong gusts... the kind that whistles past your ears.
