It IS a nice drink isn't it? It reminds me of the days of the interesting dinner parties during the art nouveau/jugendstil era where philosophers, scientists, poets and the like met to have deep discussions on politics, philosophy, science and religion/spirituality

Yes indeed . I had the luck to go on a 3 weeks backpacking trip thru France. And we decided to follow the steps of Vincent van Gogh. When we came to the spanish border, we visited Andorra a tax-free city-state that doesnt abide to many european laws. One law they rejected too is limiting the thujone concentration in absinthe. That means you were able to get the original absinthe there, which was the stuff they drank back in the days aswell. We bought a bottle and it was amazing.

My friend and me were walking on the beach, emptieing the bottle and the whole sceneray began to look like its an oil painting and you finally understood why impressionism originated . The scenery was much more intense, the colors were brighter and had many gradients between them. The interesting thing was, it wasnt like all your senses and your whole sensation was boosted, no, because you did smell nothing, like always on alcohol and your hearing wasnt the best aswell no more. But the vision was marvellous, lights began to get an aura like shining and this "aura" melted with the colors around it. Quite impressive

When we came to Arles and sat in the cafe de nuit, we knew exactly what this guy was having, when he painted the picture
