That's what rare means yes, but not why it is rare.

Oh I get what you're saying.

I suppose some functions are just harder to use than others (or people like them less), and thus less people possess them. Ni would certainly fall into this category, and I suspect Ti would as well (I actually suspect T types are substantially rarer -- among men especially -- than they appear). If I had to guess I'd say rarest to most common would be: Ni > Ti > Ne > Fi > Se > Te > Fe > Si

Do you think that this is a natural occurence, the difficulty of using a function that is, or are we taught that these are difficult to use? I suppose a better way of asking is to ask why Ni, or Ti is such a difficult function to use.

Because their genes are undominant? Because they don't get laid enough?
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

So people who get laid often enough are rare? Very true statement.

You aren't as rare as you think then.
