Unfortunately, given I've got insight into it and condemn it, consumerism. Spending sprees are awesome once in a while.

Besides that reading, journaling, my friends, who're all pretty awesome.

Now and again I fight people. Probably worse than consumerism in the grand scheme of things.

    My dog. Always.

My husband, unless he's the reason I'm down in the first place.

    Star Trek.

    Chocolate and/or coffee.

I tend to do something to break the cycle. Pick up on an old hobby, or do something I've never done or haven't for a long time
    ...Then I ducked my head and the lights went out, and two guns blazed in the dark;
And a woman screamed, and the lights went up, and two men lay stiff and stark...

Actually relate to this the most.

    And the food.

However, after reading BC's thoughts, I'm thinking flirting with someone I like, could actually do the trick just as fast as the other two. A rush of dopamine, might be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Wow. So many good responses already!

My favorites, and maybe a few new ones...

    - Music = YES!

    - Sleep = Absolutely, if I have a choice I like to nap in the sun, outside. Being outdoors is therapeutic to me when I am down. Maybe it's the phototherapy effect of sunlight/Vitamin D production?

    - Good Company
    - My Pets, they are hilarious and love me no matter what.
    - Good Food...or wine...or both!
    - Exercise
    - Sex
    - Traveling
    - Retail Therapy (especially new electronics!)

    - Reflecting on my problem(s), identifying their source, and fixing them.

    - Cleaning/organizing my house. Go OCD!!!

The company of a baby/toddler - they have so much energy and usually love having cuddles and give their love unconditionally. I don't have any children so I have to go round to a friend's house to 'borrow' a child. Maybe the adult company and a cup of coffee, cookie or two and chat also help...

Definitely agreed. There are times when i have to learn to shut my mood-music off, as it can heighten a low point. It's still the best way to get in tune with it when i need to though.

I definitely get that way with crashing waves. The ocean at night is my absolute favorite place to go to feel pleasantly small in the world. It's almost surreal.

Acting any way that can be considered politically incorrect.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

Being of help to a friend who really wants my help can dispel dark feelings in me very quickly.
