    Working out.
    A good meal.
    Taking a nap.
Talking with one of my loved ones.
Music (like someone else said, it has to fit the mood I'm *in*)
Murphy Brown: What is it with us? Why can't we take the easy road once in awhile?
Avery Brown: Because it's boring and dishonest and uncomfortable, like wearing a pair of shoes all day that pinch your feet.

I am the same way. I never understood how listening to happy music when you're really down can help.

It depends on what kind of 'down' I'm feeling. If it's just a general depressed mood, I can sort of find some random activity to keep myself occupied. Or just mope by myself or sleep.

Heart ache hurts much worse. In that case I am always wanting to be around people, 24/7, talking with them or whatever, I can't be left alone or I feel 100x worse 8<

None of this stuff cheers me up as much as it distracts me from whatever it is I'm down about.

Laying down in a large empty room and thinking on it. Just letting my mind work through it. Space.
