    Default MBTI and E.T.

I was inspired to make this thread during a recent PM session.

    My question is.

E.T. is in orbit and he/she has requested that we send up a representative of humanity to make 1st contact.

You get to chose who. The only criterion are that your choice is not a particular person but rather a personality temperament, and in the name of objectivity , it can't be your own type.

What type do you send and why?

INFJ. They got that esp antennae head thing goin' on.

But seriously, while other types may tend to retain loads of data about the past involving history, ie ESXJ, I think that an INFJ would be able to define what humans are from the most in-depth, psychological standpoint possible. If the E.T. was sentient like us, I think the INFJ would be able to quickly adapt to the culture and way of thinking of the alien, as to mediate between it and us. The INFJ would remove the communicative barriers.

You aren't talking about, like, Steven Spielberg ET, right? Just some general, nondescript alien? Cause that might affect the answer
Does he want a pillow for his head?

I would send an ISTP up to sabotage and take over their ship.

    Resistance is futile.

I'd agree on INFJ for the same reasons as Tater.

Spielberg ET was fine with a couple of (SFP?) kids though.

ENTJ. Because they could handle themselves, probably. If things go wrong the ENTJ can just dominate them.

Not so sure the manifestly superior beings would be so impressed; they'd probably just be provoked into carrying out experiments on their brain to see what made them so presumptious.

Perhaps if it was a really skilled INFJ, they'd be able to convince the aliens to take pity on them and their kindred recognise their superiority over other humanoid beings, and send a mothership next time, big enough to accomodate all the Ni doms of the planet and transport them back to their ideal place, another world entirely, far, far from Earth

What type is Elliot? I would send that type. They seemed to have a pretty good connection in the movie.
Your kisses, sweeter than honey. But guess what, so is my money.
