Default What magazines do you subscribe to and why?

I don't usually get around to having a whole magazine subscription, even though I like magazines. However, ideally, I would be getting:

Acoustic Guitar - incredible articles, good reviews of equipment and nice exercises.

Strings - pretty good, but more of a flip through, bathroom type one for me.

MacLeans - (Canada's answer to Time, but more interesting I think) I like a good current events kind of magazine and they always include an interview with a book author that looks interesting and have some off-beat trivia as well.

Prevention - interesting health facts and the odd good exercise routine.

Guilty pleasures - Hello! and People. Would never subscribe to either.

Though I am a serious advocate for paper books, I think non-electronic magazines are largely outdated, aside from specialty genres where detailed, clear graphics are important.

I go online for my magazines.

I've had a Subscription to National Geographic since I moved out of my parents house for college... I like the travel porn that it provides

otherwise, I do not subscribe, I lurk online instead

(though I've been known to pick up the occasional copy of The Economist or Glamour)

I actually like having a magazine that I can take places and read anywhere and physically handle. Online isn't nearly the same for me.

Oh, I'd love to get my hands on every mag out there again. A friend of mine used to work in publishing a few years ago, so I had access to all kinds from different areas. Accumulating knowledge......but I'd starve if I subscribed to a whole lot of them and currently I've opted to not subscribing to any at all.

I've found that with magazines and papers it's really nice to go through them from start to end, taking the time to enjoy them in detail; whereas with online stuff it's so much easier to just glace over the articles quickly and move on. I like to do both from time to time but the "real" ones are like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter night...lovely.
