    I subscribe to:

    Budget Travel (Just for fun)
MovieMaker (Cause I get it for free)
ESPN the Magazine (Cause it came free with my ESPN Insider subscription)

I'm strongly in favor of paper magazines. I spend enough time online as it is, I prefer to read for pleasure offline where I don't have to lug a laptop with me.

Guitar Player is the only one currently. I like the gear articles and riffs in it. Comes with a decent online supplement as well.

Plus, it's fun to look at things I can't afford.

I avoid media like the plague. I occaisionally read private eye. I abhor advertising, there is a certain amount of looking at fashion magazines which is required, i look very briefly solely at the clothing then give them to a friend to read. Sounds like a get out clause, if you ever saw me skim and the expression on my face, you wouldn't doubt.

Haha, I know what you mean, I became so disenchanted with the national media years back I haven't bought a national paper or mainstream mag in years either. All I get is the local paper occasionally, they tend not to have such an irritating political/intellectual bias or so much paper-wasting padding, and might occasionally mention something of interest locally that is of actual relevance to you!

Magazine-wise I used to read Private Eye quite often, but it seems to have gone downhill a bit lately (alright, it always was a bit of a down at heel publication, but it's become very formulaic and the standard of both wit and investigative journalism seems to have dropped - with regard to the latter Paul Foot's demise probably didn't help too much.). I think I get my current satire fix from the internet recently! I did subscribe to the London Review of Books for a couple of years (Americans, this is the British sibling of the New York Review of Books), but was very short of money when the time came to renew my subscription several years ago, and getting a bit bored with it anyway, so I gave it up. I might get it again at some point though, it can't be bought off the shelf around where I am, and sometimes the content was quite stimulating
