EDIT: Alone, but free to go anywhere! And talking with people and making friends! But knowing full well it would be temporary until you had to move somewhere else.

Since when this is considered "alone" ?

If you are 60 and still single, leave by yourself hoping from place to place, many people would say you live alone.

I meant alone as in not long term attachments to anyone.

I know, it is just I don't see that as "living alone".

Me neither. Hence the thread. What would others do if they couldn't have that, seeing as I don't think I'd mind living without it.

Jesus Christ was a wanderer. Sytpg, are you modeling yourself after Jesus Christ now? How sweet.

You can't let your happiness derive from other people. Happiness deriving from being attached to other people is one of the biggest illusions.

It doesn't matter where you live. Whereever you go, there you are. (cue sitar music) (no but seriously)

Maybe. One of thing I got out of christianity was there are more beautiful things than romantic relationships. Loving people quasi-indiscrimantely is much cooler.

Agreed. Hence the topic. But I DO need some level of consistent socialization though. I wish I was an I but alas I'm not.
